Series 300 Geobag – High-Permeability Geobag (For Biosolids, Colloids & Easily-Dewatered Tailings)

The Series 300 is designed for fast dewatering of fine, organic or highly colloidal material where clarity is not the primary objective. Its larger pore size (O95 ≈ 0.425 mm) and higher permeability (≈ 50 L/m²/s) allow water to escape freely without clogging, making it ideal for:

  • Biosolids and organic sludge

  • Colloidal or grease-rich slurries

  • Tailings where filtrate clarity is less critical

  • Sites with limited flocculant optimisation

The larger aperture reduces filter blinding, improving flow rate in difficult, sticky materials. Despite being the “lightest” fabric in the range, the Series 300 still provides high seam strength (>90 kN/m) and strong mechanical performance for most mining and wastewater needs.

Best for: High-flow dewatering, biosolids, difficult fine sludge, rapid drainage.

Series 500 – Medium-Pore Geobag (For Tailings, Mining Slurries & Clarity-Sensitive Projects)

The Series 500 is the balanced, all-round choice for mining and industrial tailings. With a tighter pore size (O95 ≈ 0.30 mm) and moderate permeability (≈ 40 L/m²/s), it delivers a strong combination of:

  • Good filtrate clarity

  • Efficient dewatering

  • Reliable containment of fines

  • High mechanical strength (90–130 kN/m depending on direction)

It is particularly suited to slurries where flocculant dosing is well controlled, and where filtrate quality matters—such as recycling water back into the plant or meeting discharge requirements.

Best for: Tailings, fine mining slurries, applications requiring clearer filtrate and reliable fines retention.

Series 1000 – High-Strength Geobag (For Coastal, Long-Term Exposure & Coarse Sediments)

The Series 1000 is the premium, heavy-duty geobag engineered for structural stability, high load capacity, and long-term environmental exposure. With extremely high tensile strength (~200 kN/m MD/CD) and exceptional seam strength (>170 kN/m), it is suitable for:

  • Coastal or nearshore works

  • Long-term exposed geobag structures

  • Dewatering of coarse sediments and minor gravels

  • Offshore or storm-influenced environments

  • High-stack load configurations

Its larger pore size (O95 ≈ 0.45 mm) promotes very rapid dewatering, especially in coarse or mixed sediments, while maintaining stability when bags are stacked or left exposed for extended periods.

Best for: Coastal protection, long-term dewatering structures, gravelly sediments, high-strength applications.
