INSTALLATION & SITE SUPPORT

Getting your installation right, from day one

Most container failures trace back to site preparation, deployment or filling mistakes, not the container itself. We work alongside your team to help you avoid them.

Kontain provides technical guidance and review. We do not perform installation works directly.

Site preparation matters most

The foundation must be level, compacted, and capable of supporting the full load of the filled container, while still allowing effective drainage and filtrate management. Poor subgrade preparation is a leading cause of tube rolling, seam overstress, overfilling failures, poor stacking stability and reduced dewatering efficiency.

Proper pad preparation

  • Level, compacted subgrade

  • Impermeable liner and geotextile protection

  • Proper drainage trench and sump

Poor pad preparation

  • Uneven, soft or uncompacted subgrade

  • No liner or inadequate protection

  • Poor drainage or ponding water

Correct deployment prevents failure

Containers must be positioned accurately before filling begins. Centreline marking, correct spacing, fill port orientation and alignment all affect final performance, especially for stacked systems. A poorly aligned tube can look minor at deployment but create major structural issues once filling and dewatering begin.

Filling is the highest-risk stage

Incorrect hose setup, poor polymer dosing, overfilling or uncontrolled pumping pressure can quickly lead to rupture. Maximum fill height must always be controlled, and small mistakes during early priming often become major failures later.

Common failures we help prevent

Many projects call us only after failures begin. Most of these are preventable with correct planning and technical oversight.
